The Tx4 Storm is a shotgun of Italian origin. It was developed by Beretta in the late 2000's and is part of the Storm lineup that is marketed in the USA. The design was derived from earlier semi-automatic Beretta designs.
The Tx4 is gas operated and uses a rotating head breech bolt. The forearm and stock are both made out of polymer. The tubular magazine is located beneath the barrel. The Tx4 Storm comes only in a single version with 47 cm barrel and 5 shot tubular magazine. Various chokes can be fitted on the threaded muzzle. Ghost ring sights are fitted and a Picatinny rail allows for optics.
The Tx4 Storm fires 12ga 3-inch shotgun shells and is semi-automatic only. The tubular magazine holds 5 rounds and one additional round can be carried in the chamber. Due to the gas system low power shells will not cycle. Various chokes can be fitted onto the threaded barrel to meet user needs.
The Tx4 Storm is thus far only available in the USA. It is marketed for law enforcement and civilian home defense use.
