The Desert Warrior is a variant of the UK Warrior developed for Kuwait. The main differences are its armament, protection level and various minor improvements for continuous operation in desert environments. The Desert Warrior is armed with a different turret which is fitted with a 25mm M242 Bushmaster autocannon, 7.62mm MAG machine gun and a TOW anti-tank missile on each side. The front and side are fitted with additional armor. Similar armor packages were later retrofitted to UK Warriors.
